1805 Restaurant

1. Visited for the first time at the weekend – the food was outstanding, but heavily let down by the service.

   Staff never came back to ask how the food was or if we wanted more drinks etc and we ended up walking to the desk to pay as waited too long for staff to come to the table. Mentioned service was bad to ‘I believe the owner’ who didn’t seem bothered and just wanted the quick payment.

2. We went for the lunch menu on a Sunday, it was very quiet so service was super speedy but did lack a little atmosphere, not their fault! Beautiful decor. The lunch menu cost £18pp which was we felt was such good value for money. The veggie spring rolls and pork dumplings were delicious. The sweet and sour chicken was crispy and the beef fillet in black bean was so tender. We treated ourself to pudding, toffee banana deep fried. If you want to visit but don’t want to pay an extortionate amount definitely give the lunch menu a try! Food is so fresh, 10/10!

3. This was booked for my birthday. On arrival there is no parking outside so you have to pay £10 for 3 hrs at the car park down the road. The restaurant was lovely and the food was fantastic along with the cocktails. However, the staff failed to acknowledge that it was a birthday booking which was a disappointment. The tap water is served in really nice glass bottles with a Chinese symbol on the side and 1408 written on, I asked nicely if I could possibly keep a bottle as it was my birthday but even though we spent nearly £150 on 2 people they wouldn’t even give me one which again let the whole meal down. Food awesome but service not so great.

4. Amazing food, very reasonably priced and friendly staff. Authentic Chinese food; had the special fried rice and it was the best I’ve had in a long while.

   Lovely atmosphere as well. Highly recommend.

5. My partner booked this for my birthday meal and I can easily say it was the best Chinese food we have ever eaten. The prices reflected the quality of food and exceptional service we received. The portions were of a good size. Decor was beautiful. We would recommend anyone visiting Bournemouth to visit this restaurant.
