There are lots of nice spots for coffee in Hove. But 44 Poets is simply the best of them all – from the quality of coffee, the skills of the baristas and the laidback friendly service. Whether for takeaway in the morning or to sit in and read, you’ll never leave 44 Poets disappointed. They’re also a lovely fixture in the community, a real gem.
We travelled an hour just to visit 44 Poets to try their coffee and were not disappointed! If you love your coffee then this is a must try. Lovely staff creating gorgeous cups of coffee. So glad we went and will definitely go again. Thank you guys ❤️
Absolutely divine coffee crafted with love and precision (a rare combination) they constantly check for QC and love to chat coffee. Zach and Jeric are without a doubt the best baristas I’ve ever met and if I lived in the area I’d probably be here at least once a day. Coffee was dialed in perfectly and had a cortado with a swan 🦢 (wow) and a cappuccino with a seahorse (double wow). Never seen a seahorse before. Seahorses. Forevah. ☕️ ✌️ 🫶
I fell in love with this little cafe when I visited Brighton. The cafe team are super nice and polite, the coffee is beyond amazing, and the snacks are great too. I bought a bag of coffee beans to take back home to Nigeria with me, and I’ve really enjoyed making lattes with it.
I’m by no means a coffee expert but I do enjoy it and I’ve enjoyed it around the world. 44Poets not only do hands down the best coffee in Sussex, but are a top three for me world-wide. For me they are as good as the very best you would get out of London, New York, San Francisco or Hong Kong.
They also don’t inflate their prices & are a friendly bunch. Luckily they also do beans at a fair price which is useful as sadly I don’t live across the street.
