Ahh Toots

1. The Lemon and Pistachio Gluten free cake was fabulous. Myself and everyone at my Party were in awe at the artistry of it. And similarly impressed by the inside and the taste of the cake. Lemon and Pistachio worked so well and had such wonderful taste and flavour and texture. (Forgot to take a ‘before’ photo, so only the inside of the remaining top portion the next day – but shows the lemon and pistachio cake – the nuts gave it a great consistency).

2. An array of deliciously indulgent cakes. A huge range of creative cakes are on offer. Portions are usually massive. Limited indoor seating, some outdoor seating. Very popular with locals and visitors. Great coffee too!

3. As I stepped off the coach on my first trip to Bristol, the cakes in the window of Ahh Toots immediately grabbed my attention.
   I ordered their chocolate Guinness cake – it was divine. A sumptuous, dense (in the good way) slice that was perfectly combined with a sweet buttercream.
   Another highlight was when the two young women at the checkout told me they liked my earrings. It was so sweet and that kind of warmth was the best start to my trip.

   I’m definitely visiting again next time in this city!

4. Small quaint cafe in a city centre’s peaceful street. Was there on a Thursday morning so could find a seat easily, but the place is really small, which is part of its charm. Really nice people. Many good-looking cakes to try. I had a decaffeinated and the carrot and courgette cake. It was good, though bit too sweet for me. I had for 8,5£ which I find a bit expensive for a cake and coffee.

5. We used Ahh Toots to provide our wedding cake. The initial consultation was friendly and informative, helping us to make choices on types of cakes/designs. Once we had made a decision (we chose a lots of mini cakes- cake stallation) the process was easy & hassle free, with Ahh toots liaising directly with the venue/planner. Our guests loved the all the cakes & it was definitely a talking point of the day!!
   We have also visited the shop a few times since then and the cake & coffee are always amazing! Especially the pistachio buns & basque cheesecake!
