Romantic, intimate atmosphere in a complex I never thought a restaurant like this could exist. Don’t let the location fool you.
The food was to die for. My husband had the surf and turf with his filet mignon cooked PERFECTLY rare. I had the red snapper piccata which is now one of my favorite dishes.
Though it may be “pricey”, the portion sizes are more than enough to satisfy your hunger plus some.
Bravo.
Also, hats off to DJ for the best service we’ve received in Birmingham! He was attentive, entertaining, and professional. Thank you.
Food and atmosphere was excellent. Very good portion sizes. The blackberry old fashioned was strong, but delicious. Ordered the Domenica Salsa Ragu and enjoyed every bit that I tried. Will definitely come back
Our server (I believe Tom) was OUTSTANDING! Very nice, informative, and surprised us with a creme brûlée after we told him it was our anniversary. All of the food was very fresh and delicious. Cesar Salad, lobster ravioli, Chicken parmesan with risotto, and the creme brûlée.
I have been in that place many years and for a long time. I moved out of Birmingham and when i comento visit, I try to get in there. Great pasta and marinara sauce. The reason I like their Marinara sauce is because is not too strong, it taste like it was made with real tomatoes and not with tomato paste. I lived in Italy and Amore is the closest I have found to the Italian sauce. Other dishes are outstanding as well. Try the meat balls as an appetizer 3 big ones, they are very tasty and soft and tender. Good wine selection too.
This restaurant was definitely worth the wait. They were so efficient in every way. They called us several days before our reservation to make sure that we were going to show up and let us know that our table would be available. Our server was amazing. The food was phenomenal. Prepared fresh for us. They didn’t rush us even though there was a waiting list of people wanting a table There are just not enough words to describe the experience here. We have definitely added this restaurant to our regular date night rotation.
