Louisa was awesome! Taking care of a full dining room by herself. My omelette was good. My husbands crows nest Benedict was very very wet and the eggs were underdone. We got a lemon poppyseed muffin and Louisa recommended having it griddled, and it was quite good.
Annie’s is a cozy little nook in the heart of old Newport. Food is comfort and really delicious. I recommend the banana- Nutella stuffed french toast. They also have lunch fare / sandwiches.
Prices are very reasonable and the long-time staff is super friendly, and professional. Jaime is great!
A delightful spot that exudes historic charm and warmth. Tucked away in a quaint location, this cozy diner has a nostalgic atmosphere that makes you feel right at home the moment you walk in. It’s not a fancy place—be prepared for an old-world vibe with classic décor and a no-frills approach. The menu is filled with comforting favorites, perfect for breakfast or brunch, with hearty portions and friendly service that keeps you coming back. Whether you’re enjoying a stack of fluffy pancakes or a perfectly cooked omelet, the food is consistently delicious and satisfying. The staff is welcoming and attentive, adding to the overall experience. Annie’s is the kind of place that feels like a hidden gem—simple, unpretentious, and full of character, making it a must-visit when you’re in Newport.
The food and service is outstanding.
Also it is of the beaten path in Newport, prices are great. This time i had the bellevue eggs benedict, very good. They serve breakfast and lunch. Located nearbthe Tennis hall of fame.
Even though I was staying at a local b&b, I decided to go elsewhere for my birthday breakfast. I picked Annie’s since I had seen it had such great reviews. This place is pretty decent as far as diners go. The service was good, even though I kind of agree with several reviewers that the server lacked some enthusiasm. They have standard menu items at a reasonable cost, and the food came out fast. I ordered the Caramel Banana French Toast, and I got a nice sized portion for my monies worth, and the side of bacon was perfectly cooked and not too salty. They also make a pretty good cup of coffee as well. The overall appearance of the restaurant needs a bit of work, but otherwise, it is clean. In my opinion, this is one of the better diners I have been to while traveling out of state, and I would stop in again the next time I am in the area.
