Visited Annie’s for breakfast during a short trip. Great location in Manchester city centre and reasonably priced for the location. I had the English breakfast (£10) and everything was cooked perfectly. My partner had bacon and eggs (£9.50) and the cooking of the eggs was perfectly executed to ensure a runny yolk. Good to have so many different options for breakfast. The ingredients were good quality and the service was impeccable.
We were at Annie’s for a getaway afternoon date.. not an expert on afternoon tea options around, but loved what we had! Cozy atmosphere that is a perfect setting for a date.
The sandwich spread was interesting and delicious, with yummy desserts to round it off!
Short walk from the St. Peters Square or Exchange square tram stop.
Just off St Ann’s square. If you like Coronation Street Jenny McAlpine (Fizz) owns this restaurant. Just around the corner from the Exchange Theatre. Lovely place to eat and being on my own today I felt very well looked after 👍. Tried the chicken supreme on the bone Caesar salad with Parmesan shavings and bacon and garlic croutons. Delicious and I love a ready made all in shredded salad (non of that digging through lettuce for ages 🙄)head downstairs to the piano bar. Cute decor in here but maybe time for a refresh? First impression at the entrance/looking through the window is like a pub (nothing wrong with that but compared to other restaurants in town might be missing out and it was so quiet today) Suggestion you put up photos of inside on the front window and the sandwich board you have on the roadside. 8/10 👜handbag restaurant review for lunch today. Thank you Harry (love that name 😉) great service 👏.
My husband and I visited yesterday for our Anniversary, we wasn’t disappointed.
We had the fish /chips, something we don’t have often.
It was delicious, followed by sticky toffee pudding to which I am a connoisseur, one of the best I have had.
Our waiter Vincent was very efficient and friendly.
The only draw back is the stairs, and the lack of light on them. Would definitely visit again , the afternoon Tea looked yummy. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.
I’ve been here a few times it’s a very homely and cosy place to have a meal or afternoon tea or book and have a celebration. They do good homemade food, no fancy nonsense, just well presented food,
The staff are super friendly. the two people I’d like to say a big thank you to were Kate & Harry they did a great job of looking after me chatting and friendly. I was greeted with a warm welcome. I tried out the breakfast English fry up . It was well presented and left me feeling full .ready for my day . This restaurant is owned by Jenny McAlpine Coronation Street actress & her husband Chris they have done a great job with the restaurant. it’s well worth a visit if in Manchester,
it’s just on a little side road
( Old Bank Street ) St Anne’s Square
You’re sure of a friendly welcome
