Tasty food and friendly service
The spiced duck breast was full of flavor and tender.
The sticky toffee pudding was rich and indulgent, a perfect sweet ending. Highly recommended!
Very busy and we popped in on the off chance , they managed to fit us in. The decor is so wonderful and the staff smiley and well organized. The food was a great price and when I say amazing I mean it! Was every bit tasty each mouthful. Definitely would go again if we are in York.
A beautiful quaint little restaurant in the middle of York.
Sat down straight away on a busy bank holiday Sunday thought it was really super busy. Felt a little cramped in but still enjoyed my time here. The atmosphere with the staff felt like they were rushing around a bit however service with our table was excellent.
The food was AMAZING! Had the scampi and black pudding to start and the lamb cutlets for main served with a light crisp tonic was the perfect accompaniment to a heavy meal. All well presented and cooked perfectly to my liking.
Very well priced, enjoyed thoroughly.
Will return but maybe not in such a high traffic date or time.
Ate O’Clock was a fantastic choice during our first visit to York! The central location made it easy to find, and the modern, stylish décor created a great atmosphere. We visited for dinner on a busy Saturday night, and despite our table being a bit small, the cosy vibe more than made up for it. The service was friendly and attentive throughout. The food was absolutely delicious—I had the warm tofu salad, which was tasty, and my partner really enjoyed the roasted chicken and mashed potatoes. We finished with a cheesecake that was simply divine. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting York!
Nice restaurant with decent menu options. Only gripe I did have that there wasn’t much time in-between our starters and the mains being brought out. It’s like they want to rush people through their meals and then kick them out the doors.
The meals themselves were quite nice. I have the chicken supreme and the wife had the lamb. Both looked and tasted very nice. No deserts this time as the meals were filling. Saying that, we did have the crispy chilli beef to start between us. That was very nice so I do recommend that.
All in all, nice place for meal if you out and about.
