Bar ‘Cino Newport

1. I can see why everyone recommends this place! Super friendly service and the grilled pizza is amazing!! We are from NYC so thin crust pizza is our jam. Loved the sabe on the mushroom pizza. Crispy and so flavorful but not too heavy! We are going again tomorrow before we leave because it’s so good! Loved the pasta choices as well.

   We came back another day and ordered the margarita, it was clean and fresh, loved the cheesy crust and the crisp!! The tagliatelle pasta was pesto galore, so happy.

2. We had a dinner party of 8 with great window seats looking out on the darling town. The service was fast for our large party. Our server was to the point but not engaging. The menu has good choices but somewhat small. I expected more pasta options. The bread was good, however , we were never offered more . The bread portions were small. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The 1 steak dinner was very rare for MR so caution if that is your choice. The atmosphere was great and certainly I would recommend if in the area.

3. Truly did not understand the hype until I went! The grilled pizza is insane. Their combinations offered are out of this world, including margarita, spicy sausage, and even one with prosciutto, fig jam and goat cheese. We opted for the bruschetta with prosciutto, fig jam, and goat cheese and got a grilled pizza margarita style with Spicy sausage on half and mushroom on the other. It was absolutely incredible. Huge pie served with scissors so you can cut the slices to your liking. Also got a kale Caesar, which was amazing. Their beer selection is fantastic and the atmosphere is so cozy. I would tell anybody in Newport to go here at all costs!

4. Bar ‘Cino is one of my favorite restaurants anywhere, and certainly my favorite in Newport. The food is exceptional as is the service. Employees obviously work together across departments which helps to create a great dining experience. The manager is always on the floor working alongside staff too. Last time I was in, Hannah took my order and was great. I ordered the baked clams which were delicious and very creative; ditto the special of the day. For anyone with food allergies, I’ve felt very comfortable and confident dining here; my plates always come with a toothpick labeled for allergens which confirms that the kitchen was made aware of my allergies—it’s a small touch that goes a long way in my book. Newport Restaurant Group knocks it out of the park with this location.

5. The sauce that the clam appetizer came with was amazing. Their homemade focaccia bread that they bring to the table while waiting for your food is spectacular. We asked for more just to eat the rest of the delicious clam appetizer sauce. The cacio Pepe was delicious and so was the Bolognese! The salted Carmel gelato was amazing and perfectly sweet.
