Ordered the 2 course midweek special for £12. Starter chicken Caesar salad was nice. The main was the burger which didn’t come up to standard. Meat tasted like frozen cheap meat and the garnish was poor. French fries weren’t great and I asked for a splash of mayonnaise with the fries. When I got the bill I was charged £1:20 for the mayonnaise. Absolute robbery. Such a miserable bad idea to charge for condiments. Very poor decision
The staff are lovely, friendly and attentive. I ordered the chicken stack and chocolate cake which was delicious.
This place was recommended for somewhere to go for good cocktails and food while on a trip to Newry, and it didn’t disappoint, actually forgot to take a picture of the food we woofed it down so quickly, dirty fries and chicken bites type stuff and various sauces, all were absolutely delicious, during and after we had a few cocktails which were made to perfection, another great little place in Newry with excellent service.
Great food and great staff.
Also generous food portions.
I’d definitely recommend this place for a nice date night!
Great staff, great food. We had the garlic bread to start, then the chicken burger and beef burger as a main, I’ll be honest I thought the look of the sides were a bit small but i was definitely stuffed. A little while later we shared the waffle desert, oh my! Is all that comes to mind. The food was so yummy and the staff so friendly and efficient. We had a great time in Ballini’s. Oh and it was very reasonable. We were very happy customers and will be back.
We finally re-visited. This was disappointing! The waiter didn’t take our order down correctly then the staff were getting rude when we had to send it back twice. They then forgot the sauce we had ordered, when I asked, they were again not polite. When the sauce finally arrived it was lumpy. The meat/chicken on our burgers were great, but the baps were burnt, we didn’t chance sending them back. The last time we visited (just 5 short months ago) we spent £80 in total and 3-4 hours enjoying the atmosphere and staff. This time we were so disappointed we barely spent £25 and stayed less than an hour.
