Bishop’s Gate Hotel Derry

1. I attended a family wedding this weekend at the hotel and booked a room. I was quite stressed on arrival as my husband had to be whisked away for wedding photos and I have a 4 month old. Jenny immediately assisted my father in law and myself with two children to check in.

   Throughout the stay the staff offered to go to the car which was parked by a valet service to retrieve items for the children. This was extremely helpful.

   The wedding was very beautiful. The function room looked stunning. Food delicious and one course was even sent to my room while I fed the baby.

   A very professional, good quality hotel with staff who went above and beyond.

2. We went to a show in the millennium forum . This hotel is only 3 minutes’ walking distance so it’s very convenient. The hotel itself is modern and inviting. The bed was very comfortable. Our room was on the top floor, it was spacious, quiet, spotless and had air conditioning which was kindly left on prior to our arrival as it was a particularly hot day.
   The staff at the desk were friendly and helpful , and nothing was too much. When planning your journey, bear in mind that the hotel only has valet parking, which costs 17 pounds for 24 hours. On street parking is for one hour only. There are car parks close by, and I’m unsure of what they cost. It’s just something to suss out beforehand.
   We skipped breakfast because we had to leave early. However, we did eat in the restaurant the evening before . This experience was top-notch, from the decor to the service, efficiency ,well trained staff, and exceptional food!
   I will definitely be back here !

3. Comfortable beds, spacious rooms, excellent experience with both check in staff thank you to Robyn, very professional and attentive at check in and again at check out. The dinner was delicious a great menu, and all the servers had a very professional demenour. Conan was our server he was bubbly and attentive. A great foody destination overall. A real treat for a couples night away. The staff are a credit to management.

4. I attended a wedding at this venue! It was absolutely lovely. The food was great which is always a plus and the space was done up very nicely for ceremony then it was changed for the reception.
   No idea as to how good it was for the bride and groom but as a guest I enjoyed it.
   Also attended an afternoon tea for the hen do and the desserts were lovely! The sandwiches were unfortunately too dry and nothing special. Service was great though

5. Stopped for lunch as group of 4 adults and 3 kids. Were seated quickly after waiting in the bar. All had really tasty meals and great service from Arlene. Would def go back again.
