Black Iron

1. This is a restaurant set in a beautiful location. We were well looked after throughout the evening, but were asked for drinks orders twice and steak knives were forgotten. This barely detracted from our experience with the staff who were friendly and conversational.
   We ordered: Cured salmon, smoked duck, heirloom tomato salad; Two sirloin steaks, red Leicester mash, confit garlic greens, blue cheese and peppercorn sauce; creme brulé and stick toffee pudding. All were hot, fresh and well cooked. The smoked duck breast in particular was our favourite and something we had never had before. If we are in the area again, I am certain we will return for even more food…

2. I feel that there wasn’t the best choice of food and the food I was served was eh. The steak was overly chewy at one point and then rock hard at another. The fries were decent. The bread was also okay. The dessert, in my opinion, was the best part! However, it was decently priced and the service was very friendly.

3. The best steak Ive had for a long time!!!! The wine we selected was excellent. The food was amazing!

4. Love this restaurant. The best steak ever. A lovely relaxed atmosphere and not extortionately priced either.

5. Great deal, food was epic and you will be surprised at how much u get. our server was Ella. very friendly, engaging and interactive. definitely recommend
