Botanist Bristol

1. First off, we were expecting this to be part of The Botanist franchise, but were a bit disappointed to not find the hanging kebabs on the menu so asked the staff. They assured us that this is a common occurrence – perhaps they should start selling the kebabs if customers ask for them.

   After the first disappointment we opted for some of their burgers and when they arrived we were pleasantly surprised. The burgers were juicy and fresh. Chips were very fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside – perfect!

   Staff was very friendly and attentive. Definitely worth a visit even though it’s not The Botanist.

2. Went here once a few weeks ago and the roast was nice, over cooked potatoes and not too keen on cauliflower cheese- (more like sweet rice pudding taste) thought it was a one off and as the service was good and very quiet which we like we came back and it was shocking!
   Sat outside as too overwhelmed with noises inside the music outside was extremely loud.

   The roast was below average, everything was burnt ( not shown well in photos) we got the extras and they were all over cooked barely edible with the tops of the tenderstem brocolli actually flaking off.
   Yorkshire pudding completely crumbled where it was over cooked.

   I complained and said it’s barely edible but we were starving so eating what we can, I I said it’s all so overcooked and dry can I have more gravy- no apology just a comment about it being dry then if it’s overcooked… eventually gravy came out but it was rather cold by then so left.
   Parsnips and carrots were nice.

   Won’t be having another roast.

3. This is a brilliant place. The food and drinks were amazing, the service was great, and the staff were friendly.

4. Fabulous bottoms lunch today at Clifton and Alfie was the best server ever , polite, attentive and extremly courteous throughout !! Would definitely recommend 😻🌟 x

5. Came here for a bottomless for our friends birthday – 2 courses and drinks for 1.5 hours for £35 which is a great deal. Food was amazing – went for the chicken for starter and burger for main!
   Phoebe was lovely as our waitress – very attentive and made sure our drinks were never empty!
