I wish I knew of this place sooner, but now that I do, we will definitely be back! Food was so flavorful and well prepared. Service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is nice as well… we sat on the patio. Recommend the trout and the pork. The vegetables that are served with the entrees are so delicious. Highly recommend.
Reservations pretty much required. Quaint upscale French restaurant in Parkville. We went for lunch, but they were kind enough to let me order the Duck confit off the dinner menu. I’m allergic to red meat and this was as close to roast as I’ve had in years. My husband had the scallops and the sauce it comes in was delicious. HUGE selection of wine that comes with a book to give you lots of info about the region and wine itself. We were lucky to sit outside and it was absolutely perfect.
The food and setting was 5 stars, and the service was spectacular. We went all out on the appetizers and desserts. Highly recommend the veal sweetbread with polenta, so tender and well seasoned. This place blew Le Fou Frog out of the water because they don’t season their food well.
Also loved the burrata and heirloom tomato salad, it was a great dish to share. The escargot dish had a delicious garlicky bite to it so we loved it. The desserts were yummy too, and not overly sweet which was a bonus. The dining area in the back was very cute and romantic.
I hadn’t been here in a few years and the return did not disappoint. Service was knowledgeable, friendly and kind. Food was as good as ever and the wine list is still a great selection and price ranges to choose from.
If I could give this place six stars for atmosphere, I would just for the ambiance on the patio. Nestled in the treetops with soft french music playing in the background, it’s very relaxing. Food is traditional french, executed exceptionally well. Everything from their soups, mussels, quiche Lorraine and crepes, you can’t go wrong. Do not skip dessert and don’t plan to be in a rush. Take your time and enjoy a bottle of Louis Picamelot blanc de blanc, perfect on a hot summer day. If that’s not your thing, they have a whole wine book to choose from. Enjoy!
