Caffè Nero

1. It is a quiet cafe and the coffee was good however I need to give one star to service because of the lack of customer service.
   I went in with my baby to breastfeed him, I also brought the stroller, I found a table free out of the way and went to the counter to order a drink. A man was being served. I stood next to him waiting my turn and often looking towards the baby because he was getting hungry and unsettled. I was becoming worried.
   Two members of staff were behind the counter, only one making coffees.
   After a while a new customer stands on the other side of the man that was being served and the member of staff started serving that person and told me that the queue was on the other side (not on my side!).
   At that point my baby was crying already, I was trying to do the right thing by ordering a drink first.
   I went back to my table to feed my baby. When settled and when the queue went down I headed with the baby to the counter, ordered a mocha and had to ask for the coffee to be brought to my table. The member of staff said “yes “ but there was no empathy there whatsoever. The coffee was placed on the table (which was quite far from me ) and I struggled to reach it whilst holding baby. I tried calling the staff to help me out, waved a few times as well.
   At that point there were 3 members of staff behind the counter, no queue. They were just chatting between themselves.
   I manage to eventually reach the coffee.

   I left quite disappointed on the lack of acknowledgement to customers. I’ll try to avoid this Nero going forward, I am sorry!

2. Really impressed by the customer service from this particular branch. The gentleman who served me was incredibly kind and assisting. The drink was 5 star too, would recommend the ham and cheese croissant as a light snack.

3. Came in yesterday struggling with the heat and needing a sarnie. Had the best server. Didn’t see a name badge but they had long red hair in a ponytail and glasses. So kind and lovely. Had a lemon spritz which is one of the best drinks I’ve ever had! Thank you Caffè Nero and your staff are adorable

4. Coffee looks better than it tastes but still better than their other locations. I think their AC is broken because it was boiling inside.

5. We had some food and drinks. We got served quickly. The food was great!

   The only thing I could say that could improve is the people who served us looked like they didn’t want to be there! There was no interaction with us, no hello, no nothing! They just looked so unhappy to be there. They spoke very quietly when asking what we wanted, and in a busy place like that, it was hard to hear!
