It’s a busy place given its location but, like a lot of Caffe Neros, it really needs some updating and, if not that, at least a deep clean. Staff are pleasant and do their best given the high demand but clearing tables is not a priority so the place can feel a bit dirty. It’s a shame because the overall offering is not bad – but please, pay some attention to the cleanliness of the place!
We stopped by for lunch and enjoyed some great coffee. Although it was busy, we managed to find a table while my partner was in the queue. However, the staff could be quicker at clearing tables to accommodate new guests.
I love the Salted Caramel with Pistachio Creme Frappe, 5 stars! The service was spot on too! The atmosphere would be good if it weren’t for the three teenagers taking 6 seats for their bags too! The staff should’ve said something to them.
Service was shockingly slow with staff not appearing to care less . Google said dog friendly. No signs to say otherwise and after queuing 20 mins for 3 coffees the girl came over to us and said dogs aren’t allowed so technically I could ask you to leave . Absolutely will never come here again . Queue was out of the door into Eldon Square and they still couldn’t get a wiggle in into second gear . Laughable how bad it was to be totally frank
I came here today on an outing with my dad. After a lovely day of shopping, we’d decided to get a nice drink and maybe a cake. This was the first time we’d ever been to a Caffe Nero. We ordered a large cappucino and large caffe latte. We also ordered a blueberry muffin and lemon muffin. As we were ordering, my dad noticed two flies on a croissant in the desert section. Actually on the croissant. My dad pointed this out to me and I told him to tell the staff, so he did. The lady behind the counter did take all the croissants and threw them away. However, I think it’s a bit strange for flies to be on ‘fresh’ pastries, especially in the middle of winter. Then, when we went upstairs, I noticed a fly on a plate on a different table. Then when we sat down and had finished out muffins – a fly flew on our wrapper almost immediately after eating. I am severely questioning the cleanliness of this place! To see 4 flies in the niddle of winter, especially on products actually being sold to customers, is concerning. I won’t be returning!
