Caffi Soar

1. A lovely little community cafe in the middle of Merthyr Town. Places like this really need our support. Not a huge menu but well presented with friendly service and good value. Live music provided by a group of elderly gentlemen who obviously meet regularly and were very talented and enjoying themselves – really lovely to see!

2. Caffi Soar was the highlight of our trip to friendly Merthyr Tydfil. The lovely man there rustled up fab veggie and vegan breakfasts for us and our two children and took the time to chat with us, giving me a chance to practise my dodgy-but-improving Welsh. He also gave us some advice about climbing Pen y Fan, which is a short drive away and not to be missed! Such a great visit ♥️

3. Bacon sandwich was immaculate need to invest in BBQ sauce though. 6 year old gave the beans an 8/10. Owner made fun of my axe throwing ability but made up for it offering me a loli. Service was fantastc

4. The best cooked breakfast that I’ve had in a long time and very reasonable price too. I’ll be back 🙂

5. Hub for activity, lots of welsh spoken but just as friendly in English. Just stopped for a coffee.
