Costa Coffee

1. Great location, nice views. Indoor and outdoor seating.
   Large property, lots of seats but can get really busy.
   Nice atmosphere.
   Drinks were fine, usual expectations from any Costa stores.
   Staff were friendly.
   Downside toilets were dirty and there was an issue with the code on the door to open it.

2. So first time in Liverpool and a huge Costa fan, we stopped off here to rest and refuel as we were exploring Albert Docks.

   It was the weekend of the Eurovision (Sunday) and Liverpool was heaving!

   However, there was plenty of seating, the staff were welcoming and friendly. The service was fast and spot on.

   The staff were really helpful when asked for directions to further locations we wanted to explore.

3. we ordered 2 coconut flat whites and 2 peach ice teas, the coffees are nothing near a flat white and you could barely tell it had coconut milk in it, the teas weren’t the worst but for some reason had a banana taste and personally we did not enjoy the taste of these at all.
   other times when ever came here it’s never been as bad as today but we assume it’s due to the new barista.
   overall it’s not worth the amount of money we paid, for this amount we’d expect to get at least good tasting drinks.

4. Was given a dirty teapot asked for a clean one to be told they were all like that, even though powder was literally coming of it. I was told it was tanning powder off the tea which obviously means they’re not washing they’re teapots properly as it shouldn’t be staining to that extent. I can’t drink caffeine & didn’t want cross contamination with the mint tea I had. In the end they put it in a takeaway cup not before the woman came over who wasn’t even serving me & spoke to me very rudely about the situation. I said in response to her ‘that’s all i’m asking for’ she responded very rudely ‘that’s what we’re giving you’

   Just no need for poor customer service & no apology. All they had to do was politely explain & offer an alternative solution instead of jumping on the defence & arguing with me.

   Clearly staff need training in customer service, I myself am a retail manager & have worked in a coffee shop environment, it can be stressful & customers can be draining however all I wanted was a clean teapot…

5. Great Costa, staff were lovely and friendly and food/drinks usual excellent Costa quality. Lovely relaxed seating area, first Costa I’ve been into playing music.
