But the small flies are back again. 🙁 and you spend the visit shooing them away from drinks and food. Please get the drains done again they all went away afterwards.
Costa – as good as ever but we’re now getting very close to a coffee (large latte with vanilla or caramel) being 5 quid which might be prohibitively expensive for me. Quite busy and crowded but that demonstrates the Hedge End store’s popularity rather than any poor service. Just about got a table to sit at today.
Came here as Kettle and cake was closed.
I Had a Clementine and Cranberry loaf cake, it was quite dry, but the cream on top have it the moisture.
As it’s still December, thought would have one of the festive drinks, went for the toffee penny Latte, requested to have it with coconut milk and one shot, the barista making the drink, had to ask me again what my order was, I was the only person in the queue!
As I had my drink with coconut milk (I prefer the flavour and it makes the drink creamier) I had to ask for them to add some cream and sprinkles on the top.
The staff weren’t particularly friendly and felt rushed with my order, a customer asked about the muffins flavours and the staff didn’t know the answer, which wasn’t great, if the person was allergic to anything.
Typical Costa. Polite service and usual queue. Quite a few tables to spare and coffee, cake etc as expected as were prices. There is an outside area with chairs for smokers and of course toilets available to the public at the back of the shop.
If you’ve never been to a Costa coffee shop it is a mid-priced chain which provides good coffee, a few teas, cake and a few other “light bites” and it is child friendly (but dogs are not allowed in). My elderly parents struggled with the noise when some of the louder coffee machines were used.
I was in this Costa after the school run and sadly 2 children come in ( age about 14/15 ) wanting to use the toilet without buying anything- the manager I think her name was Teresa handed it very well as the children become very rude about using the toilet and wanting to sit without buying anything.it’s children like that that has caused many place do a pin for the toilet and leave the toilet a mess for customers 😡 I will be back to this Costa as I have always loved the services so keep it up ladies in Costa maybe try a different time due to the school teenagers.
