Costa Coffee

1. *Updated 1 year later – I’ve downgraded my star rating to 2 stars from 3 stars*
   So, visited this store one year on and a few things to note. Some of the staff are extremely unwelcoming and rude. Which is disappointing. The newer staff are great. A couple the baristas are extremely poor at executing a coffee drink. You’ll also note the barista area and machine are not being kept clean, which makes for a poor experience. Hopefully they’ll improve by my visit next year.

   My first visit to this store. Store was clean and well kept. Staff seemed friendly. I ordered a Cortado and iced strawberry mint tea. The Cortado was not completely up to scratch. A little on the weak side, tasted more like a latte. Coffee art was not up to scratch, this’ll need more practice and patience by the barista. I’ll visit the store again a few times and update my review accordingly. I do agree with another review, that the increased commercialisation of Costa has meant the quality of coffee is no longer on point.

2. Ideally placed when you fancy a nice cuppa & a quick bite after doing some shopping. The staff are polite & quick with the orders as it can get very busy here, there is additional seating outside if you prefer.

3. Lovely amazing half full flat-white made by Sarah. Very friendly staff. Good job Costa staff

4. Perfectly fine chain coffee shop. Usual range of hot drinks, snacks and cakes. Pretty corporate coffee brand so no particularly interesting features. Slightly overpriced for the quality and quantity provided, but nothing out of the ordinary. As you’d expect, not worth a special trip but handy if you’re at Kingston Park shops.

5. Been here many times but never on Sunday. Just seemed a bit more noisy, hence why I have only given 4⭐
