Crabshakk

1. The food was amazing and staff were friendly. They had a menu with regular staples as well as changing specials. Make sure you try both!

   From the staple menu, the scallops with anchovy butter were sooo good. We were going to skip carbs, but ordered bread just to get more of the butter. From the specials, the whole mackerel was to die for; make sure you’re ok with eating fish with bones though.

   I’d highly recommend Crabshakk!

2. This is the best sea food I’ve had in a very long time. It was unbelievably fresh and superbly cooked with a delicate touch. The chef and his one assistant are incredible. Ruaridh, who heads the front of house, and his team are remarkable. It’s a tiny restaurant and was fully booked but he accommodated us even without a reservation and served us with attention and a relaxed expertise which made the whole experience delightful. Oh, and I forgot to mention that the wine we had was superb, beautifully fresh with the right amount of acidity to accompany shellfish. Bravo to a great team!

3. Had a really REALLY nice meal here and was absolutely blown away by the quality of food.

   It is a small place so if you need a table for 3+ people book in advance.

   All the seafood was fresh and you can tell and all comes from the west coast.

   Bread & Butter pudding was delicious. I shed a tear of joy with each bite! 😂

4. Absolutely delicious seafood and lovely staff, our server Katy O was brilliant and gave us some great recommendations when we weren’t sure what to get.

   All of the food was absolutely delicious. We had the taramasalata, the garlic scallops, the dressed crab and the anchovies, all of which were fantastic. The taramasalata was a very nice recommendation, probably wouldn’t have tried it otherwise!

   Will definitely be coming again.

5. Luckily, we had booked a table as the restaurant was full. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent and beautifully presented.
