I’ve been to this this restaurant multiple times and was generally a good restaurant but this time was left quite disappointed. The schezwan fried rice was extremely salty and oily despite requesting for less oil when we placed that order and then we had to request to get it changed and credit to service that they obliged – which made it manageable and we still ended up having to drink more than half litre of water due to excessive salt. The vada was just fully doughy inside and hardly cooked. All the chutneys felt old and been removed from fridge and served. The bhaji in pav bhaji was very close to getting spoilt. The place has dropped its cleanliness levels as there was so much of flies next to our table and was a constant irritation while consuming food. This place was Usually was a reliable good bet since I had always visited on a weekends. But first time I went on a weekday evening and was a disappointment. The service folks were quite sweet and cooperative.
Saw this crispy dosa while shopping in MK and went in. The food was no good, nothing tasted good, we ordered vada which was hot but didn’t feel fresh, neither did the masala dosa. The batter just tasted like it was couple of days old and the chola bhature , the bhature was completely oily, the chutneys didn’t taste it anything. South Indian food is generally quite simple and tastes nice but not here. Have to say the waiting staff were really nice but the food was not worth it at all. Please get some good staff to do the cooking because it was such a let down
We ordered a family dosa and it was delicious! Served with 5 different accompaniments which were all great. Worked out at great value (£30 for the dosa plus our drinks)
NEVER GOING AGAIN
Entering the restaurant , greeted by waitress who showed us to Table , we quickly placed and order and starters came very quickly ;
we explained to waitress that Manchurian is with main course but she didnot understand well and left the food . We called another waitress and she did the same but instead bought the chapatti to get cold while rest of main course was pending .
What was most annoying – I gestured the Manager ANUDEEP to talk to us but again he sent another waitress instead of addressing the problem . Soup got cold while all this happened, Manchurian was cold , ROTI became papad , hard and non chewy . There were no sauces served with food
Main course took ages to come although waitress did apologies .
Where’s the hospitality ?? We are paying more for food that is way cheaper in India but at price – where servers have forgotten the mannerism , there’s no warmth in their behaviour , even the basic restaurant in uk no how to behave and deal with customers . They probably need to go learn and polish their etiquettes .The manger really needs to understand his role and not ignore customers . As customers i think we should NOT BE ENCOURAGED TO KEEP RETURNING to these RESTAURANTS but instead leave them comments to improve before we rethink – after all we are paying good price for food and experience . And there are plenty of restaurant in market esp in MK – likes of Bollywood Junction , MK dosa.
I am very disappointed especially serving soup worth 6.50 and no sauce and no pepper . Manchurian was 9£ and went cold .
May 2024:
Tried this one on our visit to Milton Keynes.
Wouldn’t add much detail into this one but food was average. Service was quick.
Veg noodles were too oily.
Rawa masala dosa was average.
Veg uttapam was good
Coconut chutney was below average.
Didn’t visit again during our stay.
