  1. Amazing food and amazing service. The waitress was very polite and attentive. Food was fresh and came quickly. I had the avocado toast with a medium-cooked egg along with a black tea and later ordered a Turkish coffee too. My coffee was served in a traditional authentic Turkish cup with a Turkish delight. Been coming here for a while now, and they never disappoint. Prices are very reasonable; I’d 100% recommend Damascena in Birmingham.

  2. I recently visited Damascena in Birmingham, and the experience was nothing short of fantastic! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a warm and vibrant atmosphere. The food was fresh, flavourful, and arrived quickly, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

A special mention goes to one of the two waitresses, Marika, who truly elevated our visit. She was polite and attentive. Her friendly demeanour and exceptional service added a personal touch that made us feel very welcome.

Overall, Damascena offers a perfect combination of delicious food and outstanding service. Highly recommended!

  3. We stopped here for lunch whilst visiting Birmingham city centre. It’s a fabulous little cafe, so much flavour and scents to simulate the senses. I had a Turkish coffee with cardamon, very flavoursome, and for food a lamb and beef Shawarma which was very tasty, it came with crispy potatoes in a very tasty dressing. My partner had the Lamb Harrira soup, she says it was one of the best soups she’s ever had. There were also options for the kids with more basic wraps and Halloumi. The staff were very friendly and helpful and accommodated us well even though we were in a little hurry.

  4. Food and atmosphere is 10 out of 10. Service could be better but in their excuse it was a bit busy so maybe it was the case. We loved the food and the tea. I wish there was a brunch in London. Got some baklava to go. Girl on the till was lovely and helpful.

  5. Stopped for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. I had egg on avocado with smoked salmon and it was very good. I was served by Hannah and she was very helpful and I would highly recommend this place.
