After some walk on the park and then you want to take a break while sipping coffee with nice brunch. Hey this is it, the perfect picture of Dandelion Cafe. I went there just to make a stop, but the atmosphere of the cafe as too mesmerizing, I had to delve into it, enjoy the coffee with french toast.
P.S. The service was so nice, cozy place to sit and sip, family friendly, and lovely theme cafe.
Excellent little cafe/coffee shop sited inside the park. Excellent ice cream stop for kids. Great coffee and cakes for mums& dads etc. Also looks very popular with dog walking community of which there was many today. Staff really friendly and helpful.
Perhaps my favourite café in Glasgow. Adorable little place within the surroundings of Newlands Park. The specials are always imaginative and delicious while the baked croissant with scrambled eggs is the best in town – and the Empire biscuits are similarly without equal. Friendly and delightful staff, too.
Place was heaving at lunchtime but we got in after a few minutes. Roll with bacon and black pudding plus croissant with cheese and ham were just the ticket after a walk in Cathkin Braes Country Park. Guy at the counter said it was always busy. Not surprised. We’ll be back!
Refurbished from a no longer used tennis pavilion, the cafe owners had to persuade the council to lease the property. Now a thriving cafe which has brought jobs, great food and drink to the park and preserved a historic building. Clientele is varied although squeezed a little more to mums, children and grannies. Clean and accessible toilets, 10 tables inside, 3 outside under cover. Muzak, but at very low level. Really free WiFi (no sign up) but slower than most mobile 3G.
A selection of home made savoury lunches and snacks accompanied by a great selection of cakes and tray bakes to go with well made locally roasted coffee. Staff extremely friendly, helpful and service is prompt without being pushy. Quality of food and beverages is very good and caters for a varieties of dietary requirements. Recommend for a lazy afternoon break or to grab a take away coffee and cake from the outside take away counter to eat in the park.
