We came here on vacation. We were seated right away and the staff were very friendly. They had comfortable booth seating and an old look to the restaurant and it had a lot of history to the place.
The sauce was different, it had a vinegar taste to it. I had a half a slab of ribs.I felt that they gave me all the small pieces and it was not fall off the bone meat, and I didn’t think the quality was the best but it was OK. The food was not served on plates only styrofoam with paper. I would have preferred plates but that’s me. My husband had a rib chicken combo with macaroni and cheese and the baked beans. The macaroni and cheese was very good and he was happy with his meal. Food was served quickly.
Parking was free and easy. I do know I would want to try other barbecue places before returning here. I wasn’t that happy with my experience but I was glad to give it a try.
If you come here, don’t waste your time with anything but the ribs. The pulled pork and chicken are okay but the ribs are really where they shine! They come sauced already and they’re tender but not fall off the bone. Quick service too, in and out for lunch. Nice spot with a large bar as well.
Visited here from out of town at the recommendation of a local. Absolutely fantastic BBQ. Only one type of sauce, more vinegar based, but fantastic. Ribs, tips, chicken and even the salad was fantastic. Fries were perfect and the Mac was incredibly rich. Would highly recommend stopping. Definitely worth a detour. Had a combo plate (2 meats with 2 sides)
I had forgotten how good the sauce is. Pork tender and flavorful but too many fatty deposits for my liking. Okra and Mac cheese ok. Okra had some “stalky” pieces in it.
The ribs were amazing! I loved the complimentary white bread and hot BBQ sauce. We had the fried green tomatoes and they were good. We bought a gallon of sauce to take home. KK was our hostess. She was the best! The owner (I think) was super friendly and let us take a picture with a slab of ribs ha!
