Live in Atlanta and know East Pole is great but my wife nor my sister in law enjoyed their lattes. To be honest, we drove to another coffee shop for another attempt (which to be fair was good but not great). Could have just been an off day or pour set of drinks for sure.
The croissants were really solid. They toast and add butter and they were really GOOD!
Atmosphere was pretty cool. Not cozy but still unique and enjoyable. Baristas were very kind and pleasant.
I’d give it another shot but this moment in time wasn’t our favorite.
My pour over was well made from their quality beans. The coffee is great and they have a few pastries provided by Bandit, a local bakery. The vibe is a jazz lounge in the belly of a wooden ship. The only downside of this spot: the seating is best for solo or duos. If your group is much larger, you may struggle to find side by side tables or bar seats to drink your coffee at. This Atlanta company seems right at home in this new spot in Downtown Birmingham.
I love the East Pole Coffee Co in Atlanta so It’s hard to leave a 4 star review for this location but unfortunately my experience wasn’t great.
The employees working weren’t very nice and seemed annoyed, my drink wasn’t made very well, and the barista was very rude to my friend who asked for a water with his order (he ended up walking to a brewery nearby to get a cup of water because he was not given one, even though he asked twice).
the outdoor patio was nice and parking was really easy.
Not recommended. Sleek shop but seasonal spiced pumpkin latte = tepid bland latte with a half teaspoon of cinnamon on top. Used a 14 oz personal mug which was
i come here most mornings after i get off work and the baristas are always so friendly. the coffee is amazing & never has that burnt, over-roasted flavor that a lot of larger shops put out. the pastries are also incredible. highly recommend the fruit danish and the cinnamon roll
