My colleague and I wanted to go for a curry dinner but as we couldn’t find the place we were looking for but we were hungry, we decided to randomly opt for one on Bricklane and I am glad we did as it was such a great night. The place is very clean and welcoming. Lots of choices on the menu. We opted for saag aloo & aloo gobi with popadoms for starters and they were delicious. The main was prawns biryani which was also yummy. Very friendly staff & good service, we even got a 20% discount which made the whole dinning experience a really lovely one.
Wasn’t planning on eating here but had to try the Mango Chicken curry. It was sweet and savoury. The service was good and genuine. Johnny and Mian/shishu accommodated us until the very end along with the other waiters. I really enjoyed their hospitality. The atmosphere was authentic. The food was delicious. Would recommend!
Didn’t take a quite nice picture of the mango chicken because we were so excited to try it haha – it was delicious in the end.
Amazing Atmosphere and ambience, great and friendly service, and of course, the food is outstanding. We had the Chicken Bhuna, Onion Bhaji, poppadoms, butter chapati, and a paratha. The breads were cooked to perfection, and the onion bhaji were rolled into a ball, which was a nice touch. The poppadoms were freshly cooked and came warm. The pickles and sauces were very good and tasty. The Chicken Bhuna was one of the best I have had out of an Indian restaurant in a long time. If you’re planning a trip to an Indian restaurant, I’d highly recommend you go here. Sadly, I forgot to take photos of the food itself as it was too good to wait before getting right in to eat.
Very clean and well established place. Service was amazing and food came out fast! would recommend
I recently dined at Eastern Eye Balti House, and unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing meals I’ve had. I ordered the butter chicken, and it was barely edible—overwhelmingly buttery with no balance of flavors, just chicken swimming in a pool of butter. My partner ordered a curry that was slightly better in taste but still far too oily.
We were drawn in by the staff’s offer of a 20% discount and free drinks, which they did honor. However, they also tacked on a 12.5% service fee, and soon after sitting down, they served a snack that seemed complimentary, only to charge us £1.50 per piece.
The whole experience felt overpriced for what we received. I’d suggest skipping this place unless they make serious improvements to their food and transparency around costs.
