Exeter Family Restaurant

1. Very nice atmosphere where all are welcome. We enjoyed a nice breakfast Saturday morning and spend a good time. The service was excellent and the food was also good. I recommend this place 🙂

2. Food was good but customer service was horrible. When we inquired about the soup of the day the waitress Julie abruptly said hold on I’ll get to that. We waited a while to get our meal while others who came after were being served immediately. The waitress at the end made an effort to step out the side door and say thank you and don’t come back. Julie should not be in customer service in my opinion. She could benefit from some customer service skills/training. Throughout our meal we made it a point to be very professional and polite with please and thank you in spite of the service that was being restaurants. I asked to speak with the manager and was told the manager was not in and was told they would be in at 4. I called the restaurant at 4 to speak with the manager only to find out that I was lied to. The manager was there when I initially requested to speak with them.
   I have worked in customer service for years and know and appreciate what true customer service should look like. I have trained individuals to render professional customer service and truly believe Julie needs a course in it.

3. Took 2 of my employees to lunch yesterday. They got burgers and they liked them. Their meals came with a soup or salad bar as did mine which was very impressive. I ended up getting the vegetarian Christian which was very very good. That came with my choice of side I also got fries and I got the French onion soup which was not included in the soup and salad bar but was well worth it. The restaurant was nice the server was good in general I would go back if I found myself working in the area again.

4. Food is really good. We had breakfast and my son ordered lunch, and lunch comes with all you can eat salad bar. I have seen people taking leftover boxes with them. It’s busy all the time. Should go and try it, you will enjoy food.

5. Really enjoyed this diner! Stopped in for breakfast while traveling and the food was excellent. Large portions and delicious looking beverages if you like a bloody mary, mimosa, or “special” coffee with your breakfast. My only negative is that the gentleman at the register who seated us seemed a bit anti-social. Not the best first impression. However, all the servers were very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Will definitely come back next time I’m in the area.
