Fat Hippo Nottingham

1. We’ve just been for a visit to try out the breakfast after a birthday stay in Nottingham.
   Met with a warm welcome we ordered quickly and chose the meal deal option which gave us a burger, 2 hash browns and orange juice or unlimited coffee each. Food and drinks arrived quickly. The breakfast was absolutely amazing! Tasted and presented better than we expected and the hash browns were to die for!
   Thank you for an amazing breaky experience today!

2. Great environment for a party/group, energetic fast paced and loud. Food was mixed, some cooked perfectly and tasted great some overcooked and oily, hence the 3 stars. The staff were also mixed. But unfortunately the lesser service out shone the good bits. They did say they were fitting us in because we had not pre-booked, would probably be a good idea to mention somewhere on there website or google, that booking is recommended, on arrival it felt a bit like we were imposing by turning up without a reservation. Awesome selection of options in the menu, with plenty of choice for vegans and vegetarians.

3. We are already big fans of our local Nottingham Fat Hippo and we were eager to try the breakfast menu as it’s my favourite meal of the day 😊 I had their ‘Rise & Swine’ and my wife had their ‘Morning Glory’. Both were packed full of flavour and tasted delicious. We opted for the meal deal to add on orange juice and hash rounds and this was well worth it. The hash rounds were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the inside, I could eat a whole bowl of these! All in all it was a great experience and our server Charlotte made us feel very welcome and did everything that she could to make sure we had a great time. Thank you and see you again soon!

4. A lovely selection of food and drink, the service was great but the restaurant was a lot smaller than expected. The blue cheese was very very salty which unfortunately took away from the flavours of the wings, however the food was great and the prices were reasonable

5. Unfortunately, this wasn’t a great experience. They got a handful of things wrong with our order. Incorrect drinks, too many starters, the wrong chips, and other food items in our starter. Due to my allergy, this Cross contamination did make me worry about how serious they were taking my allergy in the kitchen.

   I love fat hippo and will return to their franchise, but likely not the nottingham restaurant unless this is rectified.
