Always grab my coffee here before a train journey and it’s genuinely really good considering it’s a little train station coffee kiosk! The service is a cut above the rest too. Again, you wouldn’t expect it from somewhere like this but the staff (especially the older chap – could be the owner as he’s there all the time) are SO friendly. They really cheer up people’s days and it’s lovely to see. Definitely recommend.
My iced Mocha was genuinely the best coffee I’ve ever had. Martha who served me was so so chatty, genuinely wanted to hear about my day and wanted to help with my order to give me the best coffee suited to me possible. She was extremely knowledgeable about every product and was so kind. Even with all that the service managed to be super fast and she was multitasking with a huge queue while she was all alone and still managed to provide amazing customer service and a massive gorgeous smile while she was at it. I will definitely be back – this girl needs a pay rise!!
Lots of undeserved negative reviews here! I often stop at FCB when travelling or even just passing through the station. The team are always so cheery and friendly at all times of day. They’re also pretty quick considering how busy it gets – be specific when you order (ie. dairy milk, oat milk, sugar) and you’ll be on your way. It’s a godsend for being open so early and later than many coffee shops nearby. Great variety of pastries on offer throughout the day (Real Patisserie if I’m not mistaken), if not a little pricey when you’re on the go, but where isn’t these days? Coffee quality varies sometimes in terms of temperature, but it’s the best quality coffee I’ve ever had from a railway concession.
Mikheala was amazing (definitely spelt her name wrong) super informed about coffee and alternative milks would come back again specifically for her great customer service
Well, bought a small cup of espresso for£2.8
Definitely not worth the price because the size of the cup is really small. The shop owner is friendly, but the price is kind of a scam. If you want to buy it, asking the size of the cup at the first place it’s really recommended.
