  1. Visited this fabulous place twice on Friday (15/11).

On my first visit early in the morning, I ordered a flat white – the two female staff members were friendly and the coffee was really good. Not overheated, not too much foam (which I HATE – latte/flat white isn’t a cappuccino LOL).

When at work, I started chatting about Fern with a colleague – she asked me if I had tried their sandwiches and seen a doggo. The answer was ‘no’ to both so I decided to rectify this in the afternoon.

On my second visit that day, I ordered a focaccia-based sandwich which was toasted. My goodness, it was so good! Not too ‘bready’ and plenty of filling AND flavour. I feel many places try to add volume while compromising on ingredients and overall quality. Not Fern.

Let’s not forget about the dog – she’s wonderful. Gentle, snoozy and relaxed – she adds to the chilled environment of this place.

Well done to the owner and staff – it’s a coffee bar with a character, minus pretense.

  2. I had a cheese and ham toastie and a tea which was outstanding. My partner had a great toasted tuna bagel, and finished it off with a cake. Would highly recommend this place.

  3. My coffee was really lovely and had a really good whack of cinnamon. I had the mozzarella sandwich and it was tasty but had a tast of mustard I wasn’t sure about and was a little greasy toasted. I think it would have been really nice untoasted though and I’m keen to try the tuna sandwich next time (which had run out)! The server was very friendly and it was welcoming but there was a wee bit of a wait. Will definitely be back to try more.

  4. I popped in here randomly while looking for a hot coffee on a snowy day and was not disappointed! The most genuinely friendly staff, a gorgeous pupper greeted me at the door and the food and coffee were both stunning! Definitely recommend everyone to visit and I will be sitting in for the atmosphere next time! Thank you ladies!
