Fishers In The City

1. One of the best meals I had in Edinburgh. I had the linguine (though it was tough to choose). The sauce was flavorful and just a bit spicy. Shrimp were some of the best I have ever had. Restaurant was neatly laid out, I liked the various floors made the space more dynamic. Sticky toffee pudding was delicious. Rich and comforting. Server was very accommodating.

2. Amazing dishes, impeccable service and very tasteful atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend. We had the chowder, salmon ceasare salad, shellfish linguine and the fish and chips – all were scrumptious 😍

3. From the Classic Fish and Chips to the special 1/2 lobster and fresh local diver scallops, this is a tucked away gem not to be missed.

   The meals were very reasonably priced as was the well rounded selection of international wines.

   The staff were all highly engaged, knowledgeable and welcoming. If you don’t have a reservation, the bar is a great place to slip in for an amazing last minute meal.

4. Amazing service with great recommendations, food arrived fast and it was absolutely delicious. The oysters were fresh and tasty, halibut cooked to perfection with a really special sauce. We were so full but still went for a recommended cheese cake and didn’t regret it. Will come again, thank you!!

5. We ate here Sunday. We came at 12 noon when they first opened without reservations. We had tickets for the castle 1:15, so we needed to eat quickly and depart. We explained this and the staff took very good care of us. The fish soup was the best we ever had. Our son had the Fish & Chips and said it was the best he had on our entire trip to the UK (this was our last day of a 15 day trip). The atmosphere was terrific, the restaurant is situated on a quiet street a few blocks away from the madness on Princes street and the staff is very friendly. I usually only review restaurants if they get everything right and they certainly did.
