Flat Iron Kensington

1. Great place, I didnt book a table nevertheless the waitress sat us down straight away. The menu is straight to the point! Had the steak and creamed spinach Delicious!! The mac &cheese is pretty good. I also loved the free ice cream which was definitely one of the best I have eaten.

2. Absolutely amazing steak, especially considering the price. We got our steaks medium rare, which were tender and well cooked. The fries were also crispy and creamed spinach was the best we’ve had in a while.

   Staff were also very friendly and lovely, helping with beer recommendations and questions about the food. We were served complimentary popcorn before the meal started, and ended off with a delicious vanilla ice cream. The ice cream was made in house and is definitely not to be missed, even if you’re full.

3. In terms of price-performance, it’s the best steakhouse in the city. The menu is simple and straightforward. The prices are very affordable, and the taste is incredibly satisfying. Every side dish we ordered was also very delicious. The staff is very polite, and the service is fast. I definitely recommend it.

4. It’s a good easy going steakhouse offering 2 or 3 cuts all served the same. They’re targeting a very relaxed, minimal decision making steak experience. It works and the steaks are tasty but it’s not a full body meat restaurant. I mean, it feels more like a burger place serving steaks. The side dishes are tasty and the service was really really quick. The pricing perhaps reflects the restrictions behind the scenes averaging £20 per steak. I’m giving 3 stars because it’s good in its own way but not serving a good range of cuts, no dessert options feels like there room for refinement. Some might argue they give free ice cream as dessert from a soft serve machine but I’d say you’d get better soft serve machine ice cream elsewhere, it’s super artificial and sugary.
