Fluffy Fluffy Cardiff

1. After reading reviews we were extremely excited to come here! They didn’t have half the menu that they offered online despite it being advertised which was disappointing.

   We ordered 2 pistachio lattes, Nutella and strawberry pancakes and the Signature pancakes.

   We were expecting the lattes to come in sit in cups however they were served in takeouts. They came with no chopped pistachios on top and barely tasted of anything (to add they were stone cold) we went back up to the counter to complain about the taste and lack of nuts only to be told that they do not come with any nuts on top? Yet online on the website it clearly states they come topped with pistachios to add to the taste. Staff were quite rude when we pointed this out to them and treated us like we were stupid and were very uninterested in anything customers had to say. You should advertise something if you’re not making it that way.

   Then for the food we were first in to order, however other tables were served before us. Which again I don’t mind the wait time but this felt aimed as we complained about the drinks.

   Lastly the pancakes. I honestly do not think these are worth the hype they were cold (I was expecting them to be warm but I don’t know if this is just how they are normally served) but when you’re paying around £10 per dish it just seemed very underwhelming for what you get. Personally I don’t think I will be returning especially with how we were treated by the staff. Which is a shame as I thought this would be a great addition to Cardiff city centre.

2. What a treat!

   Opening day, and the line was long!

   The pancakes are gorgeous and come in many different varieties to accommodate the most discerning pancake lovers! They are incredibly cloud-like and fluffy, and I love the pistachio, banana, and Nutella strawberries!

   The service was excellent, with table service.

   Wheelchair accessibility.
   Highchairs Available.

   I can’t wait to come back with my friends and family. A real treat for all of us sugar junkies!

3. Amazing food and friendly atmosphere. My son and I came here and bought 5 different pancakes. We were full after 1 so took the rest home. Very family orientated place and definitely felt welcome here. Service was quick considering the food. Accessibility is good too, near Cardiff Queen Street station and St David’s shopping centre. Amazing people and amazing food. Even a man like mobeen was there who was just so lovely. What more could you ask for? Definitely worth a visit. I’m going to wait for their savoury menu to come out before I come back again. Much love from 2 loyal customers. Xx

4. I won’t go into too much detail but here are a few issues I experienced. See pictures attached.

   Dirty folk
   Pistachio Latte, cold served in a dirty cup and saucer
   Pistachio pancake, tasteless and served in a dirty plate

   While the restaurant has garnered significant attention on social media, my experience suggests that the hype is unwarranted.

   At the price points being charged, basic cleanliness and food quality should be guaranteed. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this establishment and won’t be returning.

   This said, the staff were attentive and polite. I think and hope what I experienced was down to it being their launch week.

5. Lovely atmosphere, amazing service with the staff offering excellent customer service and even table service to every customer.
   The Fluffy pancakes were like eating a cloud.
   I will most certainly be returning to Fluffy Fluffy for more at a later date.
