I highly recommend this cafe. Great selection of coffees, cakes, and friendly staff. I recommend sit in (if they have) or takeaway. I also recommend their beans if you brew at home.
Fortitude is a and cafe that does a variety of specialty coffees. They sell their own roasted beans and some coffee equipment (pourover and aeropress) too. I have previously purchased (some months ago) a Gesha coffee and another Ethiopian washed coffee which were both great.
They have a variety of coffee options like pourovers and cold brew. For espresso drinks, you can choose between two coffees. They do almond and oat milk as their alts. For sit in, I have tried their batch brew. It was a washed coffee (I didnt hear the server properly) that day and it was nice, clean and good acidity. I also had their decaf espresso tonic as I don’t see it often. They do this drink well, no complaints on their decaf. They do not have syrups but they do have agave if you want to sweeten your coffee.
For food, they have cakes and vegan options, as well as a granola bowl (even with coconut yoghurt for vegans!). Their make all their cakes in house. I had a pistachio cake which (for 3.80) was a good portion. The lemon cream on top was light without being too airy, and didn’t feel fatty at all. Amazing.
Their shop is tiny and I recommend sit in if you aren’t staying long. They have wifi if you need. Their coffee and treats are just as good takeaway.
Great little coffee shop on the south side, the chocolate banana bread was amazing.
I love this place. It reminds me so much of cute coffee stores in Cape Town. The pastries are yummy (try the cinnamon bun) and the coffee has perfectly textured milk with a wholesome flavour.
A new branch of fortitude coffee. It’s good for studying as it is a quite place to study.I hope they add cushions to the benches and chairs as it can get quite uncomfortable if you’re seated for a while. We ordered a cappuccino and a mocha which was sour. The dessert was alright. I appreciated my convo with the barista afterwards about the sourness of the beans, it’s origin and the recipe. Will give it another chance.
Hits all the right spots!
Great coffee with fantastic cake
Top marks on everything from the vibe to the staff
