  1. I wanted to try Franklin BBQ ever since the old American Express commercials (I have that correct, right?) about Franklin BBQ came out. What a gift to only wait two hours on an October Tuesday afternoon.
    Loved the rustic ambience.
The richest brisket. No need for sauce. Yummy, crusty ribs. We tried the beans, coleslaw, and potato salad. Good personality with the coleslaw. Potato salad so so. Beans, alright…but all good additions. I think we would’ve missed out if we didn’t try each one.
Definitely worth the wait. Pecan pie was sold out I’m sorry to say.
A place every BBQ aficionado must try.
Pork and jalapeño sausage were already sold out by the time of our arrival at about 1 PM. No loss to us. Everything gone at about 3 PM.
    Thank you, Franklin!

  2. We got this delivered to our house in Washington DC. We went to Texas last week and wanted to try this place. However, we heard that the line was very long and we didn’t have time to do that. So we ordered it to deliver to our house. It took about a week to get what we ordered and we were very happy with them. We got a brisket, sausages and a barbecue sauce. The package was still cold when delivered. Everything was delicious. Their barbecue sauce was amazing.

  3. Finally, i made it! 🤩🤩

Wednesday, we went there around 8:30 am and already saw 10 ppl stay at the line and heard that they were there around 8 am. Franklin prepared several chairs so no need to bring hours but just in case bring yours and leave them in the car.

At 9 am one of the employees came out and told us that we could use the indoor restroom and buy some souvenirs and beers!
And another employee was trying to check how many meats would be used, kinda inventory.. Lol

They opened 11am and we got our BBQ around 11:30 am. There are limited seats and tables so you may need to share your table.

All of the employees were so NICE and kinds! Helps to get the right amount.

The brisket was so tender and juicy.
No salty and perfect so we feel that why so famous..
The pork rib was also juicy. We are not big fans of pork rib b/c other BBQ places port rib is so dry! But you should try it!! So good!

They have their own parking lots just next to them and it seems only for 10-12 cars but we heard that you can also park at the empty unpaved spot over the store!

It was a great choice and an experience!
    You must try!

  4. What else can I say, a life-changing experience. Going to Franklin is the equivalent of reaching the promised land of barbecue. Arrived just before 9am on a Wednesday morning and was fortunate to be in the first 20 people. Doors opened just before 11am and within 30 mins, we had gotten our food. Biting into each meat was so damn good – brisket was smoked to perfection, with a savoury finish to it. Not usually a Turkey fan but the turkey breast took me by surprise, so juicy and packed with so much flavour, while the pork ribs and sausages were on point too. Franklin delivered on all fronts, and it’s by far the best barbecue I’ve had.

  5. First time in Austin and i thought i’d drop by this place considering the good reviews. I was genuinely excited for this. Have to say for all the hype it was really disappointing.

The brisket – yes it was juicy and tender but it was SO salty. The kind of salty that kinda burns inside your mouth. It’s insane how people can consume this and think it’s an appropriate level of salt. The house sausage was good and I liked it.

I ordered 2 sides, both were bad. The potato salad was just sour and not in a good way. The slaw was really bland and didn’t taste very fresh.

At least their classic and spicy bbq sauces were good tho… but not enough to get more than 3 stars I’m afraid.
