Garden House – Restaurant & Bar Cambridge

1. We were staying at the Graduate by Hilton and so decided to try out the restaurant – and so glad we did. Hafya, the restaurant manager was absolutely brilliant and friendly with our two year old. We decided to approach it as small plates and went for the lamb shank, hispi cabbage, sea bass and asparagus, buttered spinach, it was all incredibly delicious and the best meal of our time in Cambridge. The desserts were also divine. The chocolate fondant with sour cream ice cream was perfection. Highly recommend.

2. Just had a wonderful time at the Garden House at the Graduate Hotel in Cambridge. Megan was our fabulous server and bartender . I had been here (multiple times) a year ago with this delicious Red Cam gin drink which is no longer on the menu. MEGAN recreated it from my pictures last year and also I tried the new version, Red Cam Sour which was also delicious. The other members of my party all enjoyed their drinks and dinner as well.

   Thanks Megan for the best experience!! You are a rock star!!! We loved having you help us this evening and hope to see you soon!!!

3. What a lovely experience! We’ve been served by Josit and Vaso, who were incredible throughout the whole afternoon tea experience we booked for our first wedding anniversary. The food was delicious, not to mention they catered to my dietary requirements as a pregnant woman. The booking system was also very user friendly, which is where I was able to add notes about my dietary requirements and mention the special occasion we booked the place for.
   Lastly, the restaurant itself is top notch! Such a lovely decor, clean and giving away this romantic feeling… which we loved! The music wasn’t too loud (I hate when that happens) and was according to the ambience – soft, jazz/vintage music that blended with everything else. The bathrooms were also spotless and adorable throughout.
   We will definitely be back just for the experience! Thank you to everyone in the team.

4. We had a sparkling afternoon tea, grilled prawns, grilled chicken on a Sunday afternoon. Food were okay. Afternoon tea is just okay, scones were lovely but sandwiches were dry. It is in a beautiful location as it is a riverside restaurant but for a special occasion it was a disappointment. I reserved for a birthday and asked if they have a cake/slice of cake I can order for the birthday, the server said no they don’t have and cannot write anything on it. She just shrugged the idea immediately. She left me with the dessert menu and never came back. Not good for a birthday or a special occasion. Good for a casual afternoon drinks.

5. Nice view over the river Cam, offering can improve as they just serve wine and limited tea/coffee choices. Important note: The menu prices are not updated, you’ll be charged 15% more to account for the inflation and then another 20% for VAT
