1. Employees are overworked, but the food is soo good; it’s where the locals eat. Tremendous takeout business, even better bakery! Haddock Chowder has huge chunks of fish, beet salad is excellent. Take a doggy bag home because you def want dessert from here.

2. Governor’s offers a delightful culinary experience with a diverse menu that caters to various tastes.

   The maple glazed boneless wings are a perfect balance of sweetness and salty, leaving a lasting impression.
   The scallop basket showcases fresh and well-prepared seafood, highlighting the chef’s skill.

3. We were pleasantly surprised by Governor’s! We had the hash smash and eggs Benedict with coffee and both really enjoyed the food. But the best thing is the service, Jenn at the front is so welcoming and kind, and Lisa, our server was fantastic. I can’t speak highly enough of either of them and will be a big reason why we will come back!

After coming many times years ago .. stopped in on the way by today hoping for some decent seafood and maybe a piece of pie… after spending 40 dollars on the above items… am definitely disappointed very dry and tasteless on the fishermen’s platter and the pie it so artificially sweet… i think im good with any “sweets” for a month. 4 out 10 just because the coleslaw was alright

5. Excellent food and service. Turkey and dressing was perfect. Haddock chowder and haddock sandwich were some of the best anywhere. Dessert – a huge slice of chocolate cream pie – was crazy good.
