Greggs

1. I was in this store today and witnessed a woman come in to ask for a free drink and after the server politely stated that it was not allowed, she began to get verbally abusive towards the member of staff who was only doing his job, and so she was refused service completely for the abuse. She then came back and attempted to steal and making very homophobic comments towards the staff member before a homeless male came in who had been in the store some time beforehand and made threats of physical harm towards the staff member who was understandably very upset by this. The manager and staff member seemed to handle the situation very well however as a gay woman myself I am disgusted that this kind of behaviour is happening, and I strongly believe that more needs to be done about this. I have witnessed several issues now particularly with the homeless in greggs around city centre and I can’t help but question the welfare and safety of the staff, and would kindly suggest that security measures are put into place to prevent situations like this from happening again.

2. I asked if they had vegan options because I couldn’t see any- the server said yes the sausage and bean so I got that. After eating it I saw it was in fact not vegan and I had eaten meat for the first time in 15 years 👎🏼👎🏼 I don’t know if he was lying to make his life easier or just not listening to me. Lucky I’m not allergic to anything and it’s just my mental state damaged.
   Ps. It tasted worse then the vegan version

3. Came in today for free birthday treat, helpful and polite staff, also a benefit to myself as a T1 Diabetic. Made low blood sugars easily manageable for a birthday day out with my partner.

   Highly recommend

I have been using this branch for over 10 years its an extremely busy location I work nearby I love the staff at this shop they are very hard working very attentive full of smiles great conversation & basically like part of my work family ! We often purchase buffets for work at a moments notice too & nothing is too much trouble they always accommodate so thanks guys Natasha,Jan,Rowena,Michelle Iain & all other staff too great work guys.

5. Agree with others, no smiles and sometimes cold pasties. To me staff always look overworked and stressed.Could be location doesn’t help with bus stop outside and sheer volume of people visiting for size of shop. Guessing they have loads of thieves and kids visiting given location. They are efficient though and try their best. Breakfast meal deals are good @ £2.25 bacon,egg coffee. Extra filling 25p. No breakfast wraps, have to walk 4 mins to Albion St.+the light to get them. Sandwiches are standard fayre. Overall it’s not too bad a shop, just a very busy location.
