Exquisite food and coffee. Amazing atmosphere, glorious staff. Kind and so welcoming! We arrived 240, a little nervous as we didn’t want to be them people who order just before close but we were welcomed with open arms, menus and lots of friendly chatter.
The food – Owh my goodness. Great price, lots of it and the deli too is phenomenal, you got to try the sausage rolls!!
You got to go here
Ground bakery serves the best breakfast in Cardiff, some might say it’s on the pricey side, but it’s worth the money . The portions are big, sausage , beans are house made and very delicious, it’s not the regular store bought items, and not to forget about the overnight bacon which always makes me want to come back for more.
Guess they change their coffee beans from
Time to Time cos sometimes coffees are good and sometimes it’s not strong. But the experienced baristas will always serves the coffee will an amazing latte art.
They also offers a range of bakes too, there is a range of savory and sweet bakes, always something for everyone. I love the cardamom bun, hazelnut chocolate crossiant and cheese and onion pastry.
Highly recommend to try the Ground Breakfast.
I went for brunch with my husband on Sunday around 12pm thankfully there were tables available as I hadn’t booked in advance.
We ordered the Eggs Royale but I switched out the croissant roll for some sour dough toast, a chai latte and an iced coffee.
Our food came out promptly, aesthetic and was really tasty. Initially we ordered a fresh orange juice but noticed this was just bottled so my husband switched it out for an iced latte however this took a while to arrive.
Service was good some staff seemed more experienced than others.
Atmosphere was really chilled as it was a beautiful day there was an option to sit outside.
Dog friendly.
The food were good in general (turkish egg) and the lemon ginger tea and chai tea tasted great too. I ordered full ground , thought it supposed to be a pouched egg but was fully cooked. Thought it was supposed to be like that but it’s actually not when we checked the comment on google review.
Service is ok but a bit confused with the queuing system.
I liked the atmosphere and the interior but the table arrangement could be better
The shop is very cute howler it’s not very big, and it’s rather popular so there is quite a long cue. The pastry that I ordered is alright, it ought that it would be more crunchy but nah, it wasn’t, it was okay not super. The bathroom was occupied for a long time so I had to use the disabled one. Due to the shop being popular on weekends, so there is a limit of 80 minutes per table so it’s quite unfortunate that you can’t really enjoy a cozy morning chatting with people.
