Gusto Italian

1. seats and lighting are very cozy. just beside the quay. servers is very polite and efficient. asking for tap water is no problem at all . even put some ice in every glasses , we have 5 people. i believe both pizza + pasta are very authentic in taste & appearance. However, i reckon mascarpone cheese in tiramisu is just a bit less, so the taste of if seems not rich enough.

2. Amazing pizza experience afternoon in Gusto with Alfie who is AMAZING!! Alfie looked after us so well providing great insight into the food and making it so fun. The whole experience is such good value for money as this included a welcome cocktail, starters, create your own pizza and dessert. So fun with a group of friends / family – cannot recommend enough!

3. If it would be possible I would give 10 stars. This restaurant is probably the best I have been in my life and I have been in quite few of them. Atmosphere super. Service amazing and food absolutely flawless every single bit of it for all 7 members of our family and it was probably first time ever that our 5 kids ate everything on their plates ! I wish I lived in Liverpool and would be able to go back to the restaurant regularly.

4. Dropped in just for a pint. Unfortunately they only had two beers on draft but it’s primarily a restaurant so targeting diners rather than drinkers. Saying that I noticed that they do have a huge selection of wines. They must be doing something right though as the place was full and they were very busy on a weekday. There’s a very nice view through the windows into the Albert dock and you can’t beat a nice meal in a nice place with a nice view. Didn’t try the food so will have to come back and try it out.

5. Was a bit disappointed really, had high expectations. It’s right on the Albert Dock, nicely set up, looked a lovely place to eat and drink, decor and atmosphere was very classy but chilled. We both had the Carbonara and expected it to be creamy but it was actually quite dry. The service was a poor really, we weren’t asked how our meal was. It was quite some time before the plates were cleared and we weren’t offered a dessert menu. We were just left sitting there! After some time thinking they will appear shortly with a menu, i ended up eventually catching a waiters eye I asked if we could see a menu. Ordered a cheesecake which was very nice. Again, left for a considerable time before clearing the plates. Then had to ask someone again for the bill. Was left waiting again to pay it, I went to the desk where we booked in and he said he would send someone across. This didn’t happen and after trying to catch a waiters eye again, failed, I ended up approaching a till and service area and said that they take a payment now as I am leaving now. They then had to query with each other which waiter served me what!? I did not leave a tip as I thought the service was very poor. So overall nice place, drinks were ok, nice atmosphere and decor, poor service and not the best food I’m afraid.
