Hawasana Afghan Restaurant

1. Excellent food, freshly cooked to order. Piping hot with a generous sized naan bread made freshly from the clay oven. Good value for money.

2. This is a gem of a restaurant. It has a ‘cash only’ policy. Do carry cash if you’d like to try out the restaurant. Also, no allocated parking available. Amazing food in terms of Afgan cuisine and reasonable portions.
   The restaurant offers family and usual sitting.
   A shared bathroom is located inside the restaurant which is old but kept cleaned.

3. Amazing lamb krahi
   Authentic Qabli pulao
   And proper Qehwa Authentic one.
   Roti and naan was good.
   Fully enjoyed the lunch.

4. The Qabuli Pulao was excellent—delicious and generous in portion. I also tried their Chicken Biryani, but it didn’t quite meet my expectations. However, they do maintain consistency in terms of taste.

5. Called and ordered my food in advance as I was 30miles away. Staff advised will be ready in time. Arrived at this restaurant, got seated the lady bought my lamb karai over with a naan and salad. Two other blokes came in ten minutes after. Who also ordered via phone the owner was yelling and telling the staff member off for giving their lamb karai to me (not my fault). He then marched over to my table as if I was being told off like a school kid and asked did you order this meal? I told him yes. He asked how, I advised via phone. He then went on to ask show me. I shown him on my call records. The level of disrespect from the chef/owner was actually disrespectful I’d never go there again and if you want to try a real afghani lamb karai go to Birmingham, Khyber on alum rock road. The owner should go there to and learn from them and maybe some manners. I hope this helps for anyone reading
