Good was fantastic, staff (both front and back of house) were friendly and helpful, prices were very reasonable, clean bathrooms. Wish they had takoyaki (only because I’ve been craving it recently) but otherwise I had a wonderful dining experience.
I love Japanese food but I could barely stomach the food here.
Not one person in my group ate any of their food, including my daughter in law who is half Japanese l.
(We had chicken teriyaki, pad Thai, crab Rangoon, tempura and Fire Roll)
The oil needs to be changed in their fryer. The tempura and rangoons tasted like old burnt oil.
The tuna on the fire roll didn’t taste fresh and the shrimp was fried in the old oil.
Waitress was impatient with us even tho we were literally the only people in the place. Guess she wanted to go back to TicTok or job hunting.
Pass on this place. They need a serious overhaul. Total waste of money.
The hostess welcomed us with wonderful warmth and hospitality, knowing that we are both deaf. I used my iPhone notepad to communicate our order, and it was smooth and seamless. Ichiban passes with flying colors for being deaf-friendly, and I left a wonderful tip for this business that accommodates the deaf community. The food are fresh and top notch high quality! ❤️🤟
Don’t let the unassuming facade fool you. This modest eatery tucked in a strip next to a Dollar store boasts the best sushi I’ve had in years. The inside is tastefully decorated and the tables nicely spaced. The service is fast and friendly and the menu extremely extensive. Lots of sushi and sashimi offerings but also other Asian specialties. A friend and I shared two rolls, a salad or two, crab rangoons and tuna and salmon sashimi and everything was fresh, delicious and expertly prepared. Hot green tea and a cucumber martini accompanied our meal. I’m thrilled to find such high quality sushi right here in Bangor.
The service was wonderful, the dish I had was called katsudon, but it absolutely was not katsudon. It was a piece of fried pork, topped with fried egg and teppanyaki onions, on a plate of +Chinese+ rice.
It was like a Chinese person heard of katsudon and then tried to recreate it based on a bad verbal description.
The atmosphere was unremarkable.
