Brilliant 👏 Rhual (sorry spelling) was a brilliant host, showing us how the menu worked and recommendations, etc. It is a lovely restaurant with gorgeous food, although a little on the spicy side. Don’t expect your normal Indian restaurant with korma & Balti. All the staff were welcoming. The draught beer was expensive £6.50 and food wasn’t the cheapest, but we had vouchers, so it was manageable. Definitely go as a treat and take a doggy bag home….. the waitress handed me a tray and said, “Help yourself.”
First time that’s happened , but it’s still a brilliant experience.
The food was gorgeous, some of the best Indian I’ve tasted.
Try them if you like spicy Indian (maybe too hot for kids) as are 3 year old wasn’t a fan.
We recently visited the Indian Tiffin Room during our recent trip to the UK/ Liverpool and we 100% recommend this restaurant. We ordered Paani Puri, Masala Dosa, Idly, and Butter chicken with rice and garlic naan. Everything was absolutely fantastic! Incredibly flavorful and a unique twist on some amazing Indian street food. It was our first night in the city and we were so excited that this restaurant was located just steps from our hotel. The restaurant is beautifully designed and everyone was incredibly friendly. We did need to wait a bit before receiving a table but it was Friday night and rightfully so they were incredibly busy. Highly recommend a visit if you are in the Liverpool area.
This is my first review of an Indian eatery without adding photos of the actual food.
Two reasons why this happened – I ordered a takeaway as we were staying right across the road and more importantly the dishes tasted so good I got carried away and ate the whole meal before realizing I forgot to take my camera out.
So I did the only thing I thought was right and cancelled my reservation that I made at another restaurant the for the following evening and went right back and ordered the identical Samosa Channa Chaat, Lamb Chops and the amazing Lamb Chukka so I could properly document this unbelievable experience.
I couldn’t resist a taste and then before I knew it I had polished off everything again.
Still, it gives me the excuse to return to Liverpool again and complete this review (and there are plenty of pics elsewhere!).
What I can tell you is the food is out of this world, with delicate spices and tender meats, a true Indian culinary experience on par with my dinigh experiences in Mumbai earlier this year.
Front of house I was served by a very friendly gentleman called Ruhan who could not have been more efficient.
I took a look around while I waited and noticed that 80% of the patrons were actually Indian so that’s a solid gold recommendation right there.
Is The Indian Tiffin Room the best Indian eatery I have ever experienced?
I can’t say for sure but it’s really, really up here with Mumbai.
I will just have to fly over from Norway again and eat here again a few more times just to be sure.
Yes, it was that good.
Oh gosh 😍 Absolutely amazing!
My daughter and I went for a Mother’s day treat.
I have extensive experience of authentic Indian food, be it home cooked in the colony of Nizamuddin or the street food of chandni chowke. So you can imagine, I really couldn’t wait to try this place. I wasn’t disappointed! 😍
We ordered Pani puri and keema pav baji for our starters. Absolutely amazing. The pani puri was extremely flavoursome, and you get 5 pieces, although I personally thought there could have been a little more filling because I’m greedy 😉
We shared the Keema pav……again, it was perfectly spiced and full of flavour.
I ordered laal maas for my main, which is Red meat in a firey sauce 😋 just enough to go with my garlic naan and boiled rice.
My daughter had the butter chicken, again beautifully aromatic with lot’s of flavour.
Of course, we had to have sides to go with the delicious Meal. So we had sweet potatoe masala fries and a chutney tray.
We went on to wash our meal down with amazing cocktails.
The cocktail menu is huge, and is sure to take an hour to browse.
To be fair I did think about ordering a kulfi for dessert, but we had no room left in our bellies. 🤦🏽♀️🤪
As well as the food being amazing, the decor and ambiance took me right back to Rajasthan.
I’ll definitely be visiting again 🇮🇳🍸🥘😋😊💗
See you soon 😊 X
Fabulous, creative menu with an excellent selection of unusual and diverse dishes. If you are after a standard run of the mill Indian menu with a bog standard list of usual suspects then this isn’t for you. The chefs have put considerable thought and care into curating beautiful dishes, based on flavour and quality.
I’m not a massive fan of ‘heat’ but I’m a huge fan of flavour and clever spice combination and this place did not disappoint. In fact it was an absolute delight.
We had a selection of starters, and lamb and chicken for main course. Everything was exceptional. Portion size was very generous and the food was presented beautifully.
The restaurant had a lovely ambience, modern vibe and fabulous, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive staff.
I’ve eaten in great restaurants all over the world including places with famous chefs and Michelin stars and, quite honestly this place holds its own along side them for me. Definitely one of my new favourite places.
If I could give this place 6 stars I would!
