We had lunch here for the first time a couple of days ago and it was delicious!
We ordered the two chicken tenders with fries meal and the chicken sandwich and fries meal.
Friends we were with ordered the onion rings and they really enjoyed them.
The chicken was juicy, tender and crispy. Perfection! The fries were hot and delicious. There is indoor seating but we opted to sit outside on the patio under one of the many umbrellas and enjoy the crisp weather.
We will be back for sure!
You can’t beat the environment. We had a burger from there with the hummus plate. The hummus plate left a little to be desired in terms of quantity. But it was good. The burger and fries I would do again!
Overall: 4.75: Great concept to convert a historical school to trendy eateries, gift shop & restaurant/bars. Interesting provenance about the school history. Cool, relaxed vibe with activities outside/inside & multiple patios & seating areas. Free bottled water & wrapped silverware/utensils & plates. Variety of drink options including beer, wine & cocktails & food options (American, Mexican, Italian, etc.). Kid-and-family friendly environment. Favorites: Chicken Fingers with fries & hamburger with onion rings. Empanadas served to order. Place order & then prompted for pickup via your mobile phone.
The reason I subtracted 1 star is because of the upcharge to get sweet potato fries instead of regular fries -$4.45. The menu on the counter reads like the Bacon & Blue comes with regular fries included. Aside from this issue, the person who waited on me was also the cook. He was friendly, engaged, and helpful when I asked about the Rosemary Lemonade. He got my food quickly and it was hot. The serving size was sufficient for me. See photos for size of the burger and the portion of fries. The blue cheese made the burger quite tasty if you like blue cheese. The sweet potato fries were good – cooked just right – not underdone and not burned. He did great cooking my food. Burger, sweet potato fries, and Lemonade was $20.45 before a tip.
Cool place. Elementary school turned into a market place for little restaurants.
Good food, beer, root beers and makes for a fun place to take pictures.
