  1. One of our new favourite bakeries in Brighton and there are many! Lovely hot chocolate and latte coffee. On a sunny Sunday the road next to it is surprisingly not that busy since they rerouted the traffic. So it’s a nice vibe to sit outside when the UK weather allows.

I came back again with my wife to sample indoors (it was rainy) and their cakes and toasties. The cake options are lovely as are their pastries. Not the usual basic croissants you get elsewhere, which is a real treat. Nice looking cakes also to buy that we will no doubt go through on our next visit.

There were a few savoury options available. Egg mayo or tomato and mozzarella focaccia bread sandwiches. Some egg/fetta breakfast buns and quiches.

We would have liked to see a little more savoury options but we chose the egg mayo sandwich which was toasted and it tasted lovely too. Enough to share between two of us and also a tasty Pistachio swirl pastry.

Jacob didn’t disappoint. We’ll be back again.

  2. Have visited several cake and dessert places in Brighton since my lad has been there for Uni and this one has by far the best cakes! It’s a bit small inside and they need to consider smaller chairs as the chairs are really too large for the small space.
Lots of tables and chairs outside. It was rather hectic and full when we arrived and I asked the server if he could ask their customer on his own to if could move to a table for 2/3 as he as taking up a corner area/table for 5, luckily that customer agreed. When the bakery is full of people it was rather noisy. Took a while for server to take my order whilst stood at counter. But service was friendly. Photo here shows the cakes we had. Was informed by one of my party the coffee was very good and he is a coffee snob. Hot chocolate was good but could be hotter.

  3. I can’t recommend this place enough! Jacob is an artist when it comes to cakes. Both the taste and the presentation are amazing. I’ve tried so many things and loved every single one. They have the best pistachio cheesecake that I had in my life!

  4. The cake display was so tempting, it took me a while to choose which one I wanted! Thankfully the staff was so helpful in giving suggestions. I had my Passion Fruit Cheesecake (which was amazing) for take away, but I will come back next time to sit and enjoy the cozy atmosphere of the cafe!

  5. Beautiful shop in central Brighton with a large sun facing front. Great place to sit outdoors or indoors with the best cakes, sandwiches and snacks in town. Great coffee and lovely staff. Really enjoy my visits to this place and it deserves to have queues of people!
