  1. I visited Jaspers today for my birthday. Greeted by a young girl who seemed to have quite a bit of an attitude towards us. When we arrived I told her we were booked in for 3pm and went on to say what for when she interrupted me by saying ‘yeah for afternoon tea’.
The afternoon tea was lovely and the young guy who brought our drinks/food out was pleasant.
When I went to pay, she didn’t tell me how much it was so I just paid but once I left I thought the amount was a little steep so I went back to confirm. In fairness I haven’t been for afternoon tea for a while so I was a little out with the pricing but I told her that wasn’t the price on the website it was saying it’s around £13 each. She told me that was probably an old price and if it was that price she would have charged me.
Like I said the price to me was a little steep but I can get my head around that. What I didn’t like was the attitude from her. Very sarcastic and short with me.
Also my mum phoned them the week leading up to my birthday (which I was wasn’t aware) to ask them to make it a little special for me being as it’s my birthday (a ballon on the chair or candle in a cake) and they said they would do something but I didn’t have that. Again I wasn’t aware of the conversation so I didn’t miss out necessarily.
Again the afternoon was lovely though.

  2. I booked afternoon tea here for my sisters hen party. It’s a lovely little place which offers vegetarian and vegan options. They allowed one of us to pop up early and put a few simple decorations up. The afternoon tea was really lovely! The vegan option was great! Really enjoyed everything on there, also they had vegan hot chocolate and whip! The only cons where not super friendly via email (how i booked), it was a bit on the cool side inside there (I like to be warm) and they didn’t come around to check drinks after they brought the food, we had to go find someone for extra drinks. Even with the cons, still really nice experience with friendly staff and the food was really lovely. I would return and recommend.

  3. We ordered coffee and cake to go. There looked to be a nice selection of cakes on offer but I went for the chocolate chip shortbread which was very nice. The coffee however wasn’t I’m afraid and was extremely weak tasting to the point where I threw half of mine away. I feel like if the coffee was improved then they may get a lot more customers as other reviews I see also comment likewise.
