Jinli Chinese Restaurant Mornington Crescent

1. I finally found a place in London that brings a taste of Chengdu right to the table! This restaurant nails the authentic flavors of my hometown, making every meal a nostalgic treat. The owner, Mr. Xu, is incredibly welcoming and attentive, always customizing dishes to meet our exact preferences. The ambiance is just right, with great music that enhances the relaxed vibe. The attention to detail in the decor adds to the experience, making it feel like a cozy escape from the busy city. A must-visit for anyone craving genuine Chongqing flavors!

2. Just ordered some food, came pretty quick as we live close. The sweet and sour king prawn was not fresh. The batter and the prawns were very hard, probably because it was cooked a while ago and then reheated. Not impressed, complete lack of respect for customer and their money. Another place to avoid on the list.

3. Just received my order from Jinli after waiting over 1.5 hours – as you’d expect everything is stone cold. The food looks so unappetising it’s a complete waste of money. King prawn in ginger and spring onion is a watery soup and there’s no satay sauce it’s all soaked into the skewers making them soggy and coating everything else in the box as well. Chow mein box is half full. A very sad spread and I would recommend avoiding at all costs.
