  1. This modest-looking bakery has delicious bread that can rival great bakeries in Paris. The prices are very reasonable for the quality. Don’t be put off by the queues, the girls inside are very efficient and it wouldn’t take too long to be served.

  2. Over rated bakery. Food is standard, would be better if pasties were warm and staff are ill informed by management. When asked whats in something, 9 times out of 10 they can’t tell you the ingredients inside. There is no atmosphere and it would be nice to have a smile and a joke with customers but unfortunately several times i have experienced staff members being rude about customers behind their backs or after they have left the shop, complaining about past customers in front of other customers. Unprofessional and rude.

  3. I was pleasantly surprised to see that joes bakery is still going strong on Gloucester Road, their cream slices are the best I have ever tasted in my life and their olive bread and crusty cobs are amazing,I will definitely be making a trip once a week back here to joes bakery for specific favourites of mine and my families, exceptional bread, cakes etc, exceptional staff and exceptional service.Well done Joes Bakery,I haven’t been here for many years but some things have stayed the same, absolutely outstanding

  4. Great bread but terrible service. The girls show no interest in working fast or efficiently. They bumble around chatting with each other while the queue is out the door. Shame as the bread is so good. Management need to introduce some training. They probably need someone over the age of 30 to crack the whip a bit.
