I came here on Monday around 2.40pm… judging by the rest of the reviews, this seems to be the best time as it was fairly quiet.
The cats are very energetic and playful. There are plenty of mouse toys and little balls etc that you can use to play with them. In my experience, they didn’t like to be approached to be stroked, but they were very happy to play with you by running after the mouse toys.
There are also plenty of hiding spots for the cats who wanted to sleep without being disturbed.
I found the staff to be very friendly. Also, around 3.30 it was feeding time and the staff member offered everyone a chance to feed the cats 🤗 very cute and unexpected moment
I’ve been to the kitty cafe twice now, and the staff are always incredibly nice and the place itself is nicely decorated and that cats seem well taken care of. The food is good too.
However, I have a big concern for the cats when it comes to children. Both times I’ve come there’s been poorly supervised children bothering the cats, picking them up, grabbing their feet or tails and chasing the ones that run from them. There was also some good children who were being gentle but mostly not. This probably causes the cats a lot of stress. I feel like an age restriction would be very beneficial and reduce instances of this and make a calmer environment for the cat’s sake but also for customers.
Very chilling place in a Central Station, where everyone is in a rush)) all cats are cute and nice, we have a chance to feed them with treats- that was so lovely. Staff is trying to do their best and the food they offered we found tasty 😋 however the session lasts only 1 hour, which dissapoints.. we would like to order more food, but the time were limited and we don’t do it((
We visited the kitty cafe in the half term holidays (big mistake) we paid the £8 entry fee and we were then shown to our seated area and ordered our food & drinks (which arrived quickly) we saw a few cats but what we didn’t enjoy was all the self entitled little kids who were just walking around the cafe right where we were sitting & eating pushing past into our area to get to cats that were clearly terrified and were trying their best to escape the clutches of these awful children!
I think when you are seated you should stay in your own area, and children should not be allowed to walk around the cafe. The wonderful staff did their very best to control these kids and did tell them not to he aggressive with the cats but it did fall on deaf ears etc you could tell cats were hiding and running away from these children constantly and I felt so bad for them. The cat behind me resorted to attacking the kids (and quite rightly so) I think the cafe should make it a rule that children stay seated in their own area and wait for the cats to come to them. I will not return until said measures are put into place for the sanity of the cats moreso.
my second visit, £8 entrance fee. there were more cats on my first visit a year ago. happy cats and clean place. this time order chicken nuggets which did not taste good, ice hazelnut latte also did not taste thick and rich. better order
plain tea which is safer option.
