Pros:
Ambience was good and very tastefully decorated place. Looks newly renovated.
Cons:
Food – ordered the garlic cheese bread which was OK. Then the pasta, cream sauce with ricotta and spinach filled tortellini. Was bad. Throughout the meal all I could think was this must have been bought from Aldi or Tesco. Definitely not fresh.
Service – I’ll bring 1 thing, which is the waiter kept asking me if I’m okay and want anything else with a serious face, when I was done with my meal and enjoying my wine. She asked me 2 times in 4mins. Kept staring at me like as though she clearly wanted me to get the bill and leave. Just sharing how I felt uncomfortable.
Great little place to grab some great Italian food, lovely service. Pretty place to eat in Stoke. Can feel the love that goes into the place!
Past experience here has been amazing, both the quality of service and quality of the food. On this occasion we booked the theatre menu for 5pm and checked that they were happy to serve a three course meal to finish by 6:30pm. We arrived 15 minutes late due to problems parking but by 6:20pm our main courses hadn’t arrived despite reminding them twice that we needed to leave by 6:30pm. When I said we had no time for our main courses or deserts but were happy to pay the bill for what we had actually consumed, I was presented with a bill which included three starters at £15.95 each, which I disputed. I was then advised that they would call the police which was most upsetting. I eventually settled on a reduced amount but felt bitterly disappointed at the way I was treated. Unfortunately the restaurant was unable to fulfil what they agreed on the telephone.
Evening meal, with a pre theatre service. Lovely food and attentive service. Stairs to the first floor are super steep, but worth the accent. No parking at the restaurant, but plenty of spaces around which are a short walk.
The aesthetics are beautiful, the food out of this world and staff are wonderful. We had a range of food from pizza, Linguine, and venison pancetta. All perfect.
